SORT
The SORT team is utilized at the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center, The largest single story continuous jail structure in the United States. The SORT team is utilized to ensure safety of both inmates and officers for high risk situations. From shake downs to cell extractions this team is comprised of highly trained detention officers and deputies keep the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center operating safely and securely at all times.
Honor Guard
The TCSO Honor guard is one of the most visible and public facing special teams. This team is responsible for presenting colors at special events as well as rendering honors at funerals. This team is made up of Deputies and Detention Officers that exemplify what it means to be a member of the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.
SWAT
This team is utilized for high risk warrant service as well as other situations that call for a more tactical approach to a resolution. This team is comprised of highly trained deputies that stand ready to activate at a moments notice and think quickly on their feet to provide solutions to high pressure and complex situations.
Swift Water Rescue Team
The Swift Water Rescue Team is made up of deputies that are utilized to assist in water rescues and investigations. This team is trained to deploy year round in any of the local rivers and lakes in Oklahoma. This team is often called on to assist with other agencies.
Tactical Tracking Team
The tactical tracking team is utilized in rural areas of Tulsa County. This team has all the tactical training and abilities of SWAT while being able to operate in the diverse wilderness areas of unincorporated Northeast Oklahoma. This team is often called on to assist other agencies in search and rescue operations as well as high risk warrant service.
